How The Wilderness Whispers

Complete
04/13 - 05/13

A little auto-scrolling game made for Newgrounds.com contest. The main idea behind the game is that it is a platformer where you interact with the environment as opposed to directly with a character. The game takes care of moving and jumping, leaving you to interact with the variose objects. This game took about a month of work during my final exam period and served as a nice way to keep myself sane.

All the art was hand drawn and scanned in. This was done to hopefully speed the dev process, however, it had the opposite effect. I would do this again, but I would work hard to ensure that all the assets tile properly with no manual work, the grass blocks took hours of my life to place properly…

The Movefastinator

Complete
06/12 - 07/12

Another short puzzle game made for a contest on Newgrounds.com with a focus on short snappy puzzles inspired by many a JRPG games that I have encountered (especially in ice worlds). The game is very short and can easily be completed in 15 minutes. Was made in about two and a half weeks of part time work so I am quite happy with the results (despite the fact that I never got to add sound effects).

The Last Angel

Complete
08/10 - 09/11

An auto side-scrolling action game where you play as an angel accompanied by his pet sheep. You take them through a few levels and fight things such as armored birds that shoot missles, grim reapers and lava monsters. Made this game in flash over the course of my 2nd year of university, it uses Flixel for its game engine.
